Academics and Students have described the stringent conditions attached to the Students loan act as barriers towards benefiting from the educational initiative by the federal government. According to them, if not relaxed, the government efforts to make higher education more accessible to the citizens will remain nothing but a mirage or a mere illusion.
In a special report by PRNigeria, lecturers and students expressed their skepticism and opinion over the proposed loans to be refunded after graduations.
